Radarr, from anywhereAdd a movie from your phone at the cinema, without opening Radarr to the internet.
You'll need
Everything happens in your browser except step 1.
Run this on the machine where Radarr runs. The container connects out to Seawise.io, so you don't open any ports on your router.
On Docker Desktop for Mac or Windows, replace --network host with -p 8082:8082.
$ docker run -d --name seawise \ --restart unless-stopped \ --network host \ -v seawise-data:/config \ ghcr.io/seawise-io/seawise-client:latest
✓ Container started
On a computer at home, open http://your-server-ip:8082 and create a password for the container's page.
Give the server a name, click Connect, and approve it in the seawise.io tab that opens. Sign up for free there if you haven't yet.
Fill in the name, the address and the port Radarr uses (7878 by default), then click Add.
--network host, use localhost. On Docker Desktop, use host.docker.internal. If Radarr runs on another machine, use its local IP, like 192.168.1.20.Radarr now shows on your Servers page at seawise.io. Click it from any browser, on any network, and you're in.
Go to Portals, create one (say, Family), and add Radarr to it. Then open its sharing settings and add the email of everyone who should get in.
Skip this step if Radarr is just for you.
Send them the portal link. They sign in with the email you added, using Google, GitHub or an email link, and tap Radarr. Nothing to install, on any phone, tablet or laptop.
01
Go to Settings > General > Security. Radarr v6 removed Basic, so choose Forms (Login Page) and set Authentication Required to Enabled so every request needs a login.
02
URL Base is for running Radarr under a path like /radarr. Your Seawise.io address gives Radarr its own hostname, so keep it blank.
03
Allowed Hosts in Settings > General lists the hostnames Radarr accepts. If you've filled it in, add your-app.seawise.dev or Radarr will reject requests from it.
The Seawise.io container can't reach Radarr. Run curl http://localhost:7878 on the server; a container without port 7878 published is the usual cause.
Stop Radarr, open config.xml in its appdata folder, delete the AuthenticationMethod line and start it again. Radarr will ask you to set a new login.
Third-party Radarr apps call the API with your key and can't show the Seawise.io sign-in. They only work if you make Radarr public on the Admin plan, and then the API key and login are all that protect it.
With Disabled for Local Addresses, Radarr skips the login for requests it thinks are local. Traffic through Seawise.io arrives from the server itself, so keep it on Enabled.
